Cookie Policy

Last updated:

This page describes the cookies and similar technologies (localStorage) Maintenea uses. The short version: technically necessary items are always used; analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) only with your consent. We use no advertising cookies.

1. What cookies and localStorage are

Cookies are small files your browser stores and sends back to the server — typically to keep you signed in. LocalStorage is in-browser storage that is never sent to the server; it remembers settings directly on your device.

2. Strictly necessary cookies

The service cannot work without these items. Under the EU ePrivacy rules no consent is required for them.

3. Functional localStorage items

The following items are stored only in your browser and are never sent anywhere:

maintenea.themeRemembering light/dark themeuntil deleted
maintenea:offline-sessionBrowsing your data offline (PWA)until logout
maintenea:workout-draft:v1:*Keeping an unsaved workout draft safeuntil the workout is saved

4. Analytics cookies (opt-in)

With your consent given in the cookie bar, we use Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google Ireland Ltd.) to anonymously measure visits and app usage. Without consent the Google Analytics script does not load at all and none of the cookies below are set. You can change your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer; processing details are described in the Privacy Policy, section 3c.

Optional first-party product analytics (see the Privacy Policy, section 3a) runs only with your consent given in the cookie bar and with the toggle enabled in account settings.

We use no marketing or advertising cookies.

5. How to delete cookies

You can delete cookies and localStorage at any time in your browser settings (usually under Privacy). Deleting the necessary items will sign you out of the service.
